Balmainia on a Budget

Hey Girl, It’s Jerome.

Is it just me, or am I the only one still getting my entire life from the Balmain Spring 2016 campaign?! The holy trinity of supermodels have returned for a major moment. Right on the tails of the it-girl-dominated campaign for Balmain x H&M, the original supermodels came back to remind us of their power. Before Gigi, there was Cindy; and before Kendall, there was Claudia. Naomi built an empire (zing!) that paved the way for Jourdan and many other models of color.

It’s as if the brand’s creative director Olivier Rousteing tapped out of today’s biggest names in modeling, so he went ahead and assembled the biggest names from yesterday. Balmain is the common denominator between all of these iconic women. It is an exclusive, super luxury brand known for its opulence and high price tags. Even the H&M collaboration was expensive and impossible to get - and that was “mass produced.”

Lucky for you, we at LC got you covered. I put together a few pieces inspired by these women and the way they work the look: sexy and sophisticated, soft and hard, bare and veiled at the same time. These looks are perfect for date night, a girls night out, or honestly just like a selfie session at home when you stumble upon some flattering lighting.

Be Well,
